An EMT is an Emergency Medical Technician. An EMT must pass a 10 week course which covers a line of emergency first aid to be administered to a person before arrival to a hospital, or as a first line of defense for people in a medical emergency.

Does the ambulance squad do private transport ?

Due to the lack of day time personnel, we do not do medical transports.

Who do I call in case of an emergency ?

ALWAYS CALL 911 in case of an emergency ! Call 911 before calling anyone else such as friends or relatives. In some medical emergencies, minutes can be the difference between life or death. The ambulance squad, police or fire department do not mind being recalled if they are not needed.

Why do you do fundraising ?

We are an independent organization and have been for 56 years. In addition to the proceeds from BINGO and rental of the large hall and small hall, we also do a yearly fund drive. It currently costs nearly $100,000 a year to sustain this non profit, all volunteer, non salaried organization.
